What I'm currently doing so far?

Posted by ScepterDPinoy - February 3rd, 2016

I am very busy making fan arts each week but somehow I need to make art assets for two games and the other making a fighting game character of my own.

Untitled NG Shmup (official title that I come up with: Flash Grounds): Most of the art assets is around 94% finished so all I have to do is to make the story cutscene, ending cutscene (which the game will loop to stage 1 in a harder setting), make a simple game over screen, the hidden message screen after the game over screen if the player does unkown requirments, credits screen, ect. I also like to ask any NG users if they would liket to collaborate by sumbit there own enemy ships since it's everything by everyone but I originally inteded the title to be "Grim by Everything by Everyone" since enemy ships made by NG user would want to kill the players ship. Also I needed to hire a programmer who uses Construct 2 with their own personal licence and to hire a composer for the game that I'm making with only arcade quality sound. My goal is to make a quality arcade emulator for Newgrounds that has a balanced difficulty with bullet hell elements for NG users to enjoy. This game will be released somewhere later this year or next years Pixel Day 2017.

2D platformer non isometric walk on wall hybrid game: I'm collaborating with Matheus Saviczki outside of Newgrounds to develop a game that inspired by Hydra Castl Labyrinth but in this game it shifts between a typically 2D platformer to walking on background walls as you see from JRPG games. This person I worked with is developing the game in Unity.

Making a fighting game character in style of Sunsoft fighting games: I was so eager to make one while just to express myself with old school gaming reference so I will use my previous boss sprite as an assist character which you see on my DeviantART account in my Mugen folder. He will have an intimidating structure in low res but not as intimidating as my previous boss sprites.

So that concludes my resolution for the day. As mentioned on my Untitled NG Shmup (aka Flash Grounds) you can submit your enemy ships if you like and I will include your sprites and your name in the credits in the game. I'm recovering from a computer fatigue but I will gain confidence when making art.

Aw that really sucks that construct requires a license to do much in and to make money from, ask around on newgrounds and twitter I guess.

Why not make a fighting game inspired by Combat Tournament/The Power Star game?

I would like to but somehow I wanted the sprites to be original for the game I'm making. Ripping sprites to make a game is okay but If I make money off of it I will be sued. I'm planning to make another small scale game in Construct 2.

When you say "arcade quality sound" do you mean literal soundfonts from an old arcade game or arcade-like sounds made to sound like they were from an arcade game? Either way I'd be interested in composing tracks for the game! Have some extra time this weekend so I'd be down to write a few songs to give you a demo! Also good luck on the games; really hope it all goes well.

Arcade games that mimics the sound of mid and early 90's (both music soundfont and sound effect but I will be handling the sound effect using as3sxfr if possible). Also would you like to contribute your own enemy shmup for the game and I will include your name in the credits?

Okay change of mind...What about the cancelled game; Slush Dungeon? From Mr GildedGuy?

He's allowing someone else to continue and use the assets for it if anyone's ever interested...Or that's what I've interpreted from his facebook posts that is.

Slush Dungeon? I have never heared that game before but sounds interesting. Have you know him before?

Thank you. I'll wait until this site is fixed.
